Biography
Born in Santa Barbara as youngest of five children of an artist and
an architect. Appeared already as teenager in numerous theater
plays and musicals. Attended a summer workshop at the Royal Academy
of Dramatic Arts in London after high-school. While studying at USC
he accepted several movie roles, among them _Fast Times at
Ridgemont High (1982)_ (qv). Broke off school after two years in
1982 when he got a role in the TV show _"It Takes Two" (1982/I)_
(qv). After that he featured in numerous other movies, until his
first big commercial success in _Top Gun (1986)_ (qv). After that
he allowed himself to join more creative, non-commercial movie, TV
and theatrical productions.
